What protection functions are specified for the 260°C development unit?
The development unit with a European-market maximum setting of 260°C has five protection functions: overcurrent, input overvoltage, input undervoltage, first-stage overheat and second-stage overheat protection. These describe the development design, not specifications or certifications for every product and market.
Five protection functions in the development unit
- 1. Overcurrent protectionA 6.3 A fuse cuts off power if a short circuit or overcurrent occurs.
- 2. Input overvoltage protectionPower shuts off if input voltage exceeds 270 V AC.
- 3. Input undervoltage protectionPower shuts off if input voltage falls below 85 V AC.
- 4. First-stage overheat protectionPower shuts off if plate temperature exceeds 280°C.
- 5. Second-stage overheat protectionA 300°C thermal protection switch provides a second stage of overheat protection.
Application and limits
These values come from the supplied technical materials for the 260°C European-market development configuration. They are not normal operating temperatures or a range within which continued safe operation is guaranteed. Final specifications and certification requirements depend on the product use and destination market.
Protection design, completed testing and obtained certifications are separate matters. This page does not claim any unverified certification or test approval.
