TECHNOLOGY / TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Hair straightener temperature control
How is temperature controlled in the development unit?
An NTC sensor inside the metal ceramic heater (MCH) detects temperature. The microcontroller (MCU) reads the signal and adjusts heater output. The upper and lower MCH heaters are independently temperature-controlled.
From temperature sensing to heater control
- 1. Temperature sensing inside the MCHThe NTC sensor positioned inside the MCH detects temperature.
- 2. Signal processing and output adjustmentThe MCU reads the temperature signal and adjusts heater output.
- 3. Independent upper and lower heater controlEach MCH heater is controlled independently. This design supports temperature stability after rapid heat-up.
Application and limits
This is the control architecture of the development unit described in the supplied technical materials. It is not a specification shared by every TIMELAB product or a guarantee of a particular temperature accuracy. Final configuration and temperature settings depend on the intended use, supply voltage, destination market and agreed requirements.
Three-point measurements describe readings at locations on the plate. Temperature sensing inside the MCH and measurements at three points on the plate surface should be considered separately.
